News » Christmas: Remember the less privileged-Bishop Ikeakor

Wed Jan 01 2020 -

The Rt. Rev'd. Ephraim Okechukwu Ikeakor has called on leaders and people of means in the society to remember the poor this Christmas season.

Bishop Ikeakor made this call recently when he hosted Umugama widows to a Christmas party in his country home Umuchu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

According to Bishop Ikeakor, Christmas is a season of love and sharing. He said that anger and acrimony in the society will be reduced when the rich begin to offer assistance to those around them who are in need.

Admonishing the widows at the occasion, Rev'd. James Mbonu called on them to avoid any acts that are capable of breaching their relationship with God. He said that when they please God, He will always defend them and provide for their needs.

The widows were full of praises to God for Bishop Ikeakor and his wife Dame Nkem Ikeakor for always coming to their rescue during the Christmas period. In this year's party, about one hundred and thirty widows got a bag of rice each from the Rt. Rev'd. Ephraim and Dame Nkem Ikeakor.
