The Anglican Diocese of Amichi is set to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the creation of the diocese.

The celebration which is a double barreled one is a week-long activity starting from Monday 7th – Sunday the 13th day of January, 2019. It is an opportunity to celebrate the 10th year consecration anniversary of the Rt. Rev'd. Ephraim Okechukwu Ikeakor as well as the inauguration of the Diocese of Amichi as the 144th Diocese of the church of Nigeria and the enthronement of her pioneer Bishop in Rt. Rev'd. Ephraim and Dame Nkem Ikeakor.

In a press statement from the Bishop's office, major highlights of the celebration show that on Monday 7th January, the Bishop will address a world press conference at the Cathedral church of St. Andrew, Amichi. The press conference which begins at 9am will be beamed live to the world through the diocesan website and other official social media platforms of the diocese. At the end of the press conference, there will be a mass rally/carnival along the major streets of the diocese.

On Friday 11th January, 2019, there will be a diocesan Eucharistic service to commemorate the 10th consecration anniversary of the Bishop, The Rt. Rev'd. Ephraim Ikeakor.

Saturday the 12th will witness the dedication of the state of the art secretariat building, the women Bethany house, the shopping complex, the administrative block of the College of Nursing Sciences and the hostel blocks of the college. The ceremony will be performed by the Primate of all Nigeria, His Grace, The Most Rev'd. Nicholas Okoh.

On Sunday 13th January, 2019 there will be a thanksgiving service and fund raising to fund the development of the school of midwifery at the College of Nursing Sciences.
